Opinion: People die as Donald Trump lets the pandemic rage [Kotze Warnung]
Deutsche Welle ^ | 07.09.2020 | Ines Pohl

Posted on 07/09/2020 10:23:50 PM PDT by Olog-hai

US President Donald Trump’s world is small. And simple. He only acknowledges the facts that suit him. He gets rid of people whose opinions do not match his. He refuses to consider points contrary to his politics. Trump’s agenda is simple: give more to the people who already have plenty — and keep Christians on his side so that they vote for him again. […]

Though many countries put stringent measures in place to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, Trump refused to take the pandemic seriously. It was as if he thought that he was still hosting a reality show and writing the script himself.

From the beginning, the economy was Trump’s No. 1 priority — not public health. […]

But then New York turned into a hellhole. At that point, Trump needed to begin taking the situation seriously. He should have finally announced that he was putting public health first. He should have issued directives to ensure that people wore protective masks and kept a distance from each other. He should have done this to prevent the rapidly spiraling situation from getting even worse.

Trump did not. A strong man does not show weakness. A strong man does not wear a mask. Masks were for the weak: for Democrats.

The virus continued to spread across the US. It is now ravaging states that typically vote Republican.

And the economy has not been spared. The worst-hit states are those that imposed few regulations early in the pandemic: the ones where authorities did not want to risk losing political support and spoke of intrusions on individual liberties rather than broad measures to preserve public health. They were covering for their president — a man who continues to blame the whole pandemic on his enemies. …

Wow, so many lies in this one that you can’t read a single sentence without tripping over several. Does this Pohl woman have a conscience?

They don’t understand how Federalism works. They believe the fed should have all the power, and has all of the power. I believe the author is seriously uneducated in the matter of our governmental functions.

Bear in mind this is coming from Germany. They let in over a million male, Muslim ‘refugees’, and the government response to the outrageous increase in rapes was ‘Women should wear sneakers so they can run away from attackers’.

This is Merkel’s way of trying to support the globalist Dumbocrat party.

Pohl takes great pains to make statements that are the diametric opposite of fact, take note.

It’s part of the mathematical model: The closer we get to the election the higher the amount of lies the left will publish.

the writer:

Wikipedia: Ines Pohl
In the early and mid-1980s, as a school girl and a young student, Pohl was actively involved in the German peace movement, specifically in the protest against the stationing of MGM-31 Pershing missiles at a United States Armed Forces Missile Storage Area at Mutlanger Heide (”Mutlangen heathland”) near her hometown (as part of the NATO Double-Track Decision)...

In 2004/2005, Pohl spent a year at Harvard University on a scholarship of the Nieman Foundation for Journalism...
From July 2009 until September 2015 she was editor in chief of the left-wing newspaper Die Tageszeitung,.[1] During her time at the newspaper, her brief was to return the paper to its left-wing roots after a much-criticised foray into more popular journalism...
In 2016, Pohl joined German international broadcaster Deutsche Welle in 2015, where she worked as Washington correspondent. Soon after, she was appointed editor-in-chief, effective March 1, 2017.

The other thing they do not understand is that the media was baiting the administration to use the term pandemic. Back in March. MSNBC actually started noting the number of days they claimed that the administration refused to use the "p" word. So, by the end of March when it met the accepted public health definition, the administration labelled it a pandemic. Move ahead to late June and the NYT and CNN, et. al. act surprised that it is everywhere, when that is the definition of the pandemic they insisted it be labeled as in March. So they get to browbeat the administration to use the term, the administration uses the term and then months later they act as if it is news that he disease is everywhere?

I am just sick of the media.

The "many countries who implemented stringent measures to control the Coronavirus" have wrecked their own economies to the point that they'll be indebted to either the ECB, IMF, or other entities.

Obviously, such countries either control the EU (Deutschestan and Frankistan) or have already given up their sovereignty. Not the USA.

Though many countries put stringent measures in place to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, Trump refused to take the pandemic seriously. It was as if he thought that he was still hosting a reality show and writing the script himself.

From the beginning, the economy was Trump's No. 1 priority — not public health.

Well no, he gave governor's just about what ever they asked for and then some

Trump and some of his advisers were apparently prepared to sacrifice elderly and ill populations so as not to disrupt the economy and endanger his chances of being reelected in November. It was business as usual: No one should stop working, no business should close, and no profits should be lost.

The Governor of New York is responsible for what happened in New York not the Presdident, who hasn't the powers to order any such thing under our Constitution, without a request from the governor of any state.

A strong man?

Trump did not. A strong man does not show weakness. A strong man does not wear a mask. Masks were for the weak: for Democrats.

That's right and Fauxi is on record insisting mask are unnecessary and don't work;

Fauci: The masks are important for someone who’s infected to prevent them from infecting someone else… Right now in the United States, people should not be walking around with masks.

LaPook: You’re sure of it? Because people are listening really closely to this.

Fauci: …There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask. When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it’s not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is. And, often, there are unintended consequences — people keep fiddling with the mask and they keep touching their face.

LaPook: And can you get some schmutz, sort of staying inside there?

Fauci: Of course, of course. But, when you think masks, you should think of health care providers needing them and people who are ill. The people who, when you look at the films of foreign countries and you see 85% of the people wearing masks — that’s fine, that’s fine. I’m not against it. If you want to do it, that’s fine.

The virus continued to spread across the US. It is now ravaging states that typically vote Republican.

Yeah? Describe ravaging because deaths and death rates are plummeting

Are you on drugs? Seriously? Are you on medication? The states being hit hardest are those who imposed the strictest of dicta on free citizens. To wit: the State of California will have a shortfall this year of $80-$100 Billion American Dollars.

Coronavirus in the USA: Trump's downfall?

New developments

The tide could be changing.

The coronavirus is particularly spreading in the regions that Trump needs for his reelection. Hospitals are filled to capacity, and the number of infections is expected to rise in the wake of last weekend's July 4th celebrations.

Hospitals are filled to current staffed capacity. They are not filled to actual physical capacity because many of the nurses and support staff have been furloughed.

And yes, the number of infections(thank you for not using the euphemism of “cases”) are going to rise because we are testing more people than ever before

Finally, mayors and governors in many Republican states — even Texas — have made face masks mandatory in situations where socially distancing is not possible. Fewer people are attending Trump's rallies, and his efforts to distract voters from the catastrophic consequences of his failure to react to the pandemic seem to be failing.

Really, I am done correcting your Goebbel's impression

Well, it was the end of the passionate fiction anyway...

They don’t believe in holding the executive accountable when the position is occupied by a DUmocrat. When a Republican is elected, then he assumes responsibility for every governor, mayor, sheriff, constable, town council, etc.
