Trump actually talked about how he came to pick Sessions in an interview.
“He was the only Senator who supported me, and he came to me and begged for the job four times.”
If that was the actual process it’s no wonder he was a disaster.
Trump really needs to step-up his game on choosing personnel.
Trump really needs to step-up his game on choosing personnel.
Im disappointed that he isnt, and that he is indeed as egotistical and thin skinned as people said. But we definitely needed someone like him to show us that the presidency is not any part of the power running this country. It just makes it easier for the elites when they do have a toady to control in the chair.
That may be correct; however, it appears Trump didn't have much to choose from.
Worse, it appears Sessions was either ignored or treated as an outcast by each of the remaining R senators. After spending decades working with many of them, it quickly got the best of him, perhaps given his age.
How does it feel for an R like you and me to be on such a team?
Every R voter in the country should consider contacting their R senators with a simple announcement:
If they do not immediately commence and continue to provide aggressive, effective and very visible support for President Trump they will encourage, donate to and vote for a replacement during the next election.
It's time for them to pi$$ or get off the pot!
