Trade schools are far more beneficial to the student and to society.
I have been feeling bad for the kids we have been pushing in STEM, especially computer related jobs. Companies are doing everything they can to offshore this work, and after surviving a grueling curriculum, I am afraid these kids will only have a few good years of employment before the work is all gone. But if these are the clowns educating them, then I can’t really blame the companies, can I?
You guys think this is funny??? I’m a (conservative, last one) high school teacher. I teach Chemistry...we do not use calculators, I kid you not. I’m only allowed to teach concepts, not calculations....these kids are that lazy. Whenever I do stray a bit and use some math, many revolt, even as far as complaining to administration that I can’t teach............it’s my last year after 30.....it can’t end soon enough.
I didn’t know you could get a Ph.D. in ‘Dumb.’
I had forgotten about that passage. Well, I guess we’re there.
