The biggest threat is that the Church is no longer interested in saving souls. Its priority now is on social justice, global warming, illegal immigrants, and supporting abortion funding democrats.
And some people here on FR are more concerned about communion in the hand.

Lots of people bring up different concerns, and I wouldn’t dismiss many of them.
