I think he really believed it at first (when nobody knew much about it), and then he made the fatal mistake of handing the government over to Fauci and the Dems. He does need to see he’s sorry, everybody believed this, it was meant to be short term and all the goals have been met...so it’s over now.
The reason there’s so much social unrest is that there’s a lot of bored, unemployed, not in school, isolated people out there and they’re easily manipulated.

I’m not sure that pleading extreme stupidity would be better than pleading guilty to lying as a vote getting tactic.
