You are posting things you know nothing about and Im the jerk. OK. have a nice day
The long-term effects of cv-19 are not in the area of Health. They are in the area of a government eager to prove to you they are your savior, and the resultant swing of 10 or 20% of the US population who wish to believe that myth, and who will vote for whomever they believe to be their savior indefinitely.
Coronavirus: One in ten are suffering post viral effects which will be a big problem says expert.
I am posting that CBC can indicate problems with organs, I am NOT posting that it is a definitive conclusion that an organ is in failure- IF the CBC shows abnormal readings further tests will be needed to determine the causes- This i know a lot about from personal experience- My doctors are constantly monitoring certain results to determine if or when new tests will be requited-
[[and Im the jerk.]]
Yes you are- you claim i ‘know nothing about it’ yet I provided a link that shows that CBC can and does indicate when people have possible kidney problems or heart problems and or bone marrow problems or blood clotting problems and the like-
Here- I’ll post it for you again- Seeings how you ignore the FACTS in order to keep posting nasty insulting crap
Low results can indicate blood loss, problems with the bone marrow, leukemia, and malnutrition. High results can indicate heart problems, kidney disease, over transfusion and dehydration.2

wow. that was a temper tantrum trigger. Wouldn’t matter if you were asymptomatic. Got any source for that. Would NOT be surprised since they probably tested it on their own people first. Stinking fauci, stinking gates.
The official response to the virus is doing a lot more damage than anything.
[[A CBC says nothing about organ damage doctor. Please stop giving medical advice]]
“CBC (complete blood count). This is a test that measures all the parts of the blood. These are red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Problems with these counts can mean infection or illness. They can also be a sign of a problem with the spleen. The spleen is an organ close to the liver that can be affected by liver disease. A low platelet count is common with advanced fibrosis of the liver. It also happens when the spleen becomes enlarged and begins to absorb platelets. “

Whoopsie Doodle!
CBC can indicate if there are problems with heart, kidneys, spleen and other organs- which is a far cry off from your silly claim that the CBC “Says Nothing” about organ damage- A CBC absolutely can indicate that there may be damage, and that further tests would be required to rule out or to confirm suspicions about suspected damage- IF an organ has been damaged, there will almost certainly be indications in the CBC results-, and if so, further tests will be ordered to rule out or confirm-
Noone has stated that the CBC is a definitive confirming test- but your argument that the CBC ‘says nothing’ about organ damage, is false- CBC results can and do lead to suspicion of organ problems in many cases where other factors that could cause low or high readings are absent-, which then would lead to more tests- perhaps it’s you who needs to stop ‘giving advice’
here- I’ll post it again- case you missed it:

IF a person has an undiagnosed problem with spleen, or heart, or kidneys- etc- the resulting effects of these problems should show up in a CBC- How can you, as a doctor, claim it won’t? Claim that the CBC test will ‘say nothing’ about organ problems? When it is clear that organ problems absolutely can be indicated in CBC results? Please educate us all- please prove that the info in the links i provided is false-
that’s fine- just saying what i would do- people are ending up with permanent lung damage, or organ issues- which can’t always be detected without tests- but most people get the virus mildly- and very likely are fine- and won’t get lasting issues- Hope you friend is ok- sounds like he’s had it rough in the past- Did they give him HCQ + Zinc do you know? My state, last i knew, won’t even allow it unless one is in their study- or on respirator- when it’s too late for it to work-

Dang, that’s drastic- Last resort only- Hope the person survives a long time- Thanks for the link-
You’re welcome! :-)
Yeah, those anti-Rejection drugs are rugged- hope she’s able to cope well with them- but at least she’s doing well now- so young to have to go through that-
5 year survival rate is under 50%- that’s rough- but she is young, so she will hopefully be in the exception group=- Sounds like she really went through hell with the virus- Hope she has a good and speedy recovery to make up for that-
The Flubros will recover fine, since they’re convinced it’s nothing more than the common cold. Not so great for the rest of us, though.
My semi-informed opinion is that most people who get COVID-19 won’t have permanent damage, but it’s unpredictable and the blood clotting it can cause has the potential to do serious harm. Treatment has improved—the use of anti-coagulants, steroids(which was recommended against at the beginning of the pandemic), better use of oxygen, proning, and avoiding the mistakes made with ventilator use early in the pandemic, and therapeutics like remdesivir and plasma are being used more. Now that better studies about hydroxychloroquine (and zinc) are starting to show up, i would hope that the medical establishment will add that to their toolkit and get the treatment to people EARLY.
According to this survey COVID-19 is causing a lot of people (probably too soon to call it long-term) but at least medium-term problems.

Im pretty positive the HCQ stuff for treatment is Z-pack, not Zn.
Anyway, looking on this thread Im not seeing heavy evidence that long-term effects are real concern yet.
Unless, of course, you are in the high-risk groups.
ditto and also in my neck of the woods people can not just demand a test...insurance nor medicare will pay for tests that they feel are unnecessary....
Regarding zinc, take a look at this if you haven’t seen it.

And this study.

HCQ + zpak + zinc is effective but needs to be given early.
The Zelenko study in the other reply makes me wonder if zpak is even needed if people get HCQ + zinc early. I’m hoping someone will do a study that really investigates that.
That will be the real world situation we will be in, IF a vaccine for Covid-19 is approved within year, or two. -Tom
[[steroids(which was recommended against at the beginning]]
Yeah, i remember that- it seemed weird that they advised against it at first-
[[Now that better studies about hydroxychloroquine (and zinc) are starting to show up,]]
They can’t bury this news any longer- thankfully- but what a dirty thing they did burying it out of hatred for the President- many 10’s of 1000’s died as a result-
