As COVID-19 continues to spike in the South, so does the peril to college football. South Carolina governor Henry McMaster illustrated the coronavirus’ threat to the game in a Thursday news conference while addressing college and high school football in his state. “If these numbers continue to rise and the danger persists, I can't do it,” McMaster said. “I won't do it.” “Do it” in the instance means allow the game to be played.

I don’t care about college football and even less for USC.

Seeing the worthless SC state fair cancelled I wouldn’t mind. It would be one of the few good things to come out of this farce.

Old Foghorn Leghorn Henry McMaster has effectively shifted responsibility for Covid-19 management back to the local counties and cities, which arguably is where it should be. The governor could shut it down, but the reality is the patch work quilt of regulations from county to county will likely result in limited or no prep football this fall. As to colleges, most have said no students on campus, no football. Football is the least of our problems.

Exactly. It’s a bright spot when these over paid camera hogs don’t get a platform to shoot their mouths off. I know the college players don’t get a salary but that’s what their gunning for. Screw em.

I’d like to see the absurdly taxpayer subsidized college athletic types have to get real jobs.

No football on TV might mean that networks will have less to base extra charges on for already worthless TV programming. Seems like a win to me.

Lol!!

College football is a showcase for NFL teams, as is college basketball to the NBA. Without those two men’s programs, no other college athletics are affordable - all women’s teams and all other men’s teams stop. Pro sports has created more black millionaires than any other industry. If black lives matters prevails, hundreds of future black millionaires lives will be instantly altered. Without college athletics, booster money stops.

When enrollment suffers, the pipeline of indoctrinated leftists begins to shrivel. This is a good thing.

It is already a done deal that not only the pros, but the colleges will have a BLM logo or some other offensive, disgusting, kneeling, crap-apparel tied to their programs this year.

ANYONE who thought, “Well, I won’t watch the NFL, but I’ll watch college football instead” is going to have a rude awakening. This won’t stop anywhere til it’s stopped everywhere.

Henry’s newest twitter blurb is wear a mask, jobs depend on it.

Interpret how you will.

Yeah, there are rumors that the big manufacturing and warehousing concerns are threatening Foghorn McMaster and the legislature to get with the "mask" program. Money as in political contributions and lost tax revenue speaks loudly. With other states now regulating travel to and from South Carolina, I imagine corporate pressure, especially Boeing, is becoming rather intense.

Actually, it looks like old Lindsey might be in a race for reelection for his Senate seat His opponent, Jamie Harrison, is running a pretty slick tv-social media ad campaign. Graham has been forced to respond in kind, something he has not had to do the last two election cycles.

OH NOSE! If he does that unedumacated Black athletes looking to get rich on solely physical abilities will be hardest hit!

One more example of the White man holding the Black man down!

No shock Henry is probably getting pressured.

I will do everything I can to duck the karen-gaggle rule.

The best I can do at present go as Galt as I can. It isn’t much.

A point in my favor is that I am almost anti social now. Outside of home job, very little interaction with the rest of the area.

The spouse drunk the kool-aid early on.
