How could I forget Redwing9 and some of the ladies who were Illinois Freepers back in the day.
Also lost so many good friends on here over the years, some I can name and some I cannot (due to three TIA's in the past six months) however I can still see your faces.
Peace to all and be well.
Without FR and Rush Limbaugh I'd have lost my sanity long ago.
Congratulations for your longevity! Many are called. Not so many survive 22 years around here.
All hail the Class of 98. 05/98
Still here big guy!
Retired and living big in Colorado.
Don’t forget our South Carolina Freeper rally...convertible Mustang...
I won that .270Rem in the raffle!!
USA1!
Here is to the class of 98!
Went back to check . . . I’m 21 on August 24th. My first Vanity thread was to hit the Hartford Courant reporter who called the site anti-semitic for a Joe Lieberman item. As a Jew, I didn’t want to ignore her comments on the site and wrote her a note which, to her credit, she did respond to.
Unfortunately, once or twice a year I do have to call out a Freeper comment here about something that does cross a line on Judaism. But 99.9% here are people I would be fully comfortable with to have a beer or be friends with.
22 years in November and I lurked for about 6 months first. Quite the group back then.
Heck, I was just graduating high school when you joined.
That gave me an odd case of nostalgia. Who would have guessed back then that I would miss the days when a lying sleaze seducing interns in the Oval Office was just about the worst the Democrats would choose as their public face? I miss Bill Clinton, his bimbo eruptions, and the comparative harmlessness of his small-minded corruption.
what is the FR retirement plan like?
Still here...under a different account because my original got locked out by Rob when I posted negatively about him and he created this one. I was “An American!” back then.

September 14, 1998!
Congrats old timer. I’d never heard of this place until I clicked on a link from The Drudge Report in 1999. Couldn’t believe the stuff I was reading. All of it turned out to be true.
You make me feel like a newbie!
Still here too. FR was a magnet for us during the Clinton years.
Great memories. I remember going to the Clinton impeachment rally with my new wife, now three kids later, she and I just celebrated our 22nd Wedding anniversary. Time sure does fly. . .
I signed up about then as well. Lotsa fun back then. I don’t post much anymore, but I miss the ZOTs...
Here’s to the next 22 more years.
Yep, long strange trip since then. Still have my “March for Justice” t-shirt from the October 31, 1988 protest in D.C., the only one I ever attended. Met JimRob there. My sign read: “Impeach him, or crown him.” The Democrats still want to be tyrants. Oh well, Plato tells us in ‘The Republic’ that there is a cycle to governments, always from virtue to anarchy. Franklin told us, we had a republic if we could keep it. The enemies of liberty are demanding freedom to return to the Hobbesian state of nature: where life is “nasty, brutish and short.” Their foreign allies may give them their wish. :(
I’m coming up on 20 years.
I’ve always thought that it would be A-OK for this site to have some monetization features. Ways for the Robinson’s to make money.
