The protest on June 8 happened outside Tanners Big Orange on South Pleasantburg Drive, after the owner, John Allen Zeller, posted a comment on social media about white people taking a knee during protests to honor George Floyd.
During the protest, an SUV drove into the parking lot and witnesses told WYFF News 4 at the time that they felt threatened because the vehicle was not stopping.

The article quotes Bruce Wilson of Fighting Injustice Together as saying the driver should be charged. Bruce Wilson's background:
A community activist in Greenville County is facing several charges, including kidnapping, after he assaulted his wife and held her against her will, according to Greenville County deputies. Bruce Wilson, 50, is the founder of the community activist group Fighting Injustice Together. Wilson is charged with first-degree domestic violence, kidnapping and three counts of abandonment of minor child under 16, deputies said.:
