Ocean’s 11. He made that movie.
Loved this guy.
Didn’t he do the 1,000,000 year old man with Sid Caesar?
To: ifinnegan
He was also pretty funny in “The Jerk” with Steve Martin.
He was the character that sued Nathan Johnson, inventor of the OPTI GRAB, that made everybody cross eyed.
To: Cecily
He was also in “Its a Mad, Mad, Mad World” with a great cast of comedic legends and he was in “The End” with Burt & Dom.
Carl was in about 30 movies.
To: woodbutcher1963
Yes. I think Reiner also directed The Jerk.
Stuff he did with Mel Brooks (2000 Year Old Man) and Steve Martin were funny.

He had the good sense and humility to rework the concept bringing in Dick Van Dyke as the main character.
Yes, which allowed him to also bring in Mary Tyler Moore as Rob's TV wife. She would not have been credible as Carl Reiner's wife. Casting was A-1 except Richie.

I think the reference was more to Reiner and Van Dyke, especially Reiner.

At one time, I would have been VERY upset.
After discovering both Reiner and Van Dyke were Libs, I really have no feeling about it at all.

Mel Brooks was, and still is, a comic genius.
There are many who would not have been so funny without him.
He still has it.

Maybe he got it from his mother’s side of the family?

Richie was a whiny little kid who I wished they would lock in the closet. :-))
I contrast him with Ron Howard who was a terrific child actor on Andy Griffith.

Dead Men Dont Wear Plaid.
That movie is fantastic. You should really watch Mel Brook’s Silent Movie too. It’s amazing how the format still works.

Now he's going to vote twice in November instead of just once.
