North Dakotan here with several Bison ranches near us.
Considering male Bison range around 2,000 - 2,200 lbs you just give them wide berth. I’ve seen a male put his horns under a F-350 and tip it on it’s side because he wanted the hay in the truck bed.
I dont have to be able to outrun the bison...
The buffalo was black and obviously racist against senior citizens. We must remove all statutes associated with buffalo and burn down Yellowstone National Park and make it a Buffalo Free Zone.
How many of us who have visited that place have watched the dumb city slickers try to have their kids get closer to the bears while they take a picture of the cute cuddly teddy bear.
I have seen this first hand, not in Yellowstone but someplace else, where they have even tried to sit a kid on the back of a feeding bear.
“I blame the Disneyfication of America along with liberal inability to recognize reality.”
I’ve said the same thing for many years, and people look at me in total disbelief that I could actually think/say anything ill about Disney.
Remember Grizzly Man?
He ended up Grizzly Breakfast?
Stay away from wild animals weighing between 500-1000lbs.
He ended up Bear Scat.
“You don’t have to outrun the bison. You just have to outrun the 72 year old lady. “
Yeah, heh, imagine that.
My daughter in Idaho makes a terrific buffalo meatloaf.
And she’s been to Yellowstone and thought buffalo were cool critters at a distance.
Woman in this article was a moron. Hope she gets well anyway.
My best friend has a neighbor who once raised them for slaughter.
I guess the guy had bought a brand new cattle trailer to tow behind his pick up so to get them to the butcher.
Anyways, he managed to get a couple into that trailer and the bastards went nuts and demolished that trailer.
He had them come out and shoot the rest on his farm after that and butchered them right on the spot.
He now raises white tailed deer. And has them butchered on the spot.
We have some bison on a game reserve located inside a county park here, but they are all kept safely behind a fence.
Bison are: a) huge, b) horned, c) not terribly bright.
So getting close and personal with one is not advisable.
Nonsense. Bison, Grizzly Bear, and Mountain Lions are perfectly safe to be around if you gently rub them between the ears and sing “Imagine” to them.

They’re mostly peaceful.
Decades ago a family of cousins were waiting in a long line of cars to enter one of the national parks (I forget which one). Some jackass in the car ahead of them had his window down, his family inside the car, and he beckoned a bear cub over. When it got there he put his cigar on the bear's nose and laughed as it turned and ran. The cub bellowed, the mama came running, the jackass rolled up his window, and the bear climbed up and punched a hole right through the roof of the car.
I know, just the 72 year old with you. :-)
Assuming she survives this injury, that woman should not be allowed to return to that park. I’ve never been there.
I don’t know if anyone is ever blacklisted from visiting such a park. She obviously has poor decision making skills and at her age, she is not likely to change.
“Woman in this article was a moron”
Judging by the present state of our country we have reached the tipping point of observed morons.
Damn we think too much alike. I just posted that before I found yours. We. Are. Brilliant! LOL!
I hope she is a democrat.
