The medias desperate attempt to increase fear about CV, at the same time as the death rate is plummeting, is like an attention seeking child throwing a temper tantrum. One would think the media cares about its credibility a little bit. They cant continue much longer, I assume. Maybe they have a couple more months of tantrums. They cant possibly make it to November.
Stalin said that a million deaths is a statistic but one death is a tragedy. Along those lines there are now stupid stories of twenty somethings who got sick with CV at a party and feel bad. These arent even close to deaths. Does the media think that we will weep because some young adults feel bad? The last panic by the media will consist of heartwarming biographies of every person who dies or gets sick coupled with an inflated estimate of the number of new people exposed to the deadly virus.
Ping. Freepmail Impimp to go on the ping list.
it is just the flu bro.
people are laughing at the prospect of continuing the charade...
wearing a mask and not getting any candy... not cool bro.
Its unfortunately having an effect. Here in Florida our formerly good governor is giving in to the hysteria bit by bit, closing things down, and our not so good mayor of Jacksonville just announced a mask mandate. This is going to kill our recovery. And all for what? Some fantasy statistics of people who, at some time in the past, have had the disease but now are recovered and just fine (if they even knew they had it).
Things were just starting to come back and people were beginning to invest and work based on the belief that they wouldnt shut us down again. And now thats collapsing.
Oh - and part of it is aimed at preventing or seriously impeding the RNC which is supposed to take place in Jax in August.
This is entirely political and has nothing to do with health.

And listen to yesterday’s show.
First half guest was Dr. Cyril Wecht, lifelong Democrat and world-renowned doctor (Anthony Fauci couldn’t hold his jockstrap). He absolutely shreds this COVID insanity.
A couple weeks ago I was in Kentucky and a buddy and I visited a local Chinese restaurant. It was a buffet, but they simply asked that you put a cheap little plastic, throwaway glove on whenever getting food. I liked that. Very simple and keeps grubby hands off the spoons/ladles.
Also want to thank impimp and Kozak. I mentioned last week how this thread is somehow comforting, sort of like visiting old friends. impimp’s initial dead pan post, followed by Kozak’s reliable fear-filled response, are always worth catching.
I met my first virus victim yesterday. A group of high school seniors went on a trip to Florida and about twenty of them came down with it. A few had 103-type fevers. The rest were asymptomatic or minor symptoms. He was back to mowing yards for college money.
If the useful idiot media didn’t lie there would be no flubros or flubras, just the truth.
