Rep. Ayanna Pressley said on the House floor that the Black Lives Matter movement is a “mandate,” and the time has come for people to “pay us what you owe us.”
“I rise today on behalf of every black family that has been robbed of a child,” the Massachusetts congresswoman and member of “the Squad,” said. “On behalf of every family member that has been forced to see their loved one lynched on national television. Driving while black. Jogging while black. Sleeping while black. We have been criminalized for the very way we show up in the world. Under the harsh gaze of far too many, my black body is seen as a threat, always considered armed.”
“Centuries of institutionalized oppression will not be undone overnight, for racism in America is as structural as the marble pillars of this very institution," the Democrat added. "With the power of the pen we must legislate accountability, dismantle these systems, and move in the direction of justice and healing. The Justice in Policing Act is a critical step forward, and I applaud the leadership of the Congressional Black Caucus.”
Pressley continued: “But our work is unfinished. There is a rallying cry in communities across the nation. Black Lives Matter is a mandate from the people. It’s time. Pay us what you owe us. Our black skin is not a crime, it is the beautiful robe of nation builders.”

I would contribute to a fund that would pay America-haters, of any race, a decent sum, maybe $50k - upon their permanent and irrevocable renunciation of US citizenship in the foreign country of their choice.
How about you immediately get your ungrateful self out of this country you hate so much? Find a more welcoming place on Earth if you think you can. We don’t owe you anything. America is a place for people who can stand on their own two feet without begging for a handout while cursing those you expect should give you what you have never earned and never deserved.

I am all for reparations right after they disband only-black programs, remove all only-black scholarships, remove anything that would be considered favorable to blacks only so that means generational welfare. They may never utter a white person is racist, never vote again for the party of slavery - demonrats, disband planned parenthood as it was originally a program based on black eugenics to destroy the black family, get rid of socialist and marxist race baiters by never giving them another dime, agree that all races can be racist toward other races and apologize for being racist themselves, and they agree that all lives matter.
Until then, the check is in the mail and will be delivered on the second Tuesday of next week.
Well the Democrats did it so they probably owe them, but the Republicans sacrificed hundreds of thousands of lives so I’d say that debt is paid.

1. People who never owned slaves owe exactly nothing to people who never were slaves. Period.
2. Each human being of whatever skin color owes every other human being of whatever skin color some modest amount of respect (well, except for those who have displayed a lack respect for us, and who thus don’t deserve that respect). Whether or not people actually do that is up to each of them, individually - that should not, and probably cannot, be a matter of public policy.
3) As a Western society we owe every citizen and (legal) resident certain basic rights. We aren’t doing a perfect job of that, but we are certainly doing a much better job of it now than in the past. The fact that we have had a (half-) black President and that multiple millions of blacks are solidly in the middle and upper-middle classes is proof of that. Again, we can do better, but the law right now is pretty much colorblind, as it should be. However, “affirmative action” has been the law of the land since 1978 - and 42 years later this distinctly NON-colorblind law shows no sign of disappearing, despite the fact that the Supreme Court that made it the law of the land said that it should be a “temporary” measure. 42 years out of our 244 year history as a nation is just over 17% of the time that this nation has existed, more than 1 in 6 years - just how long is “temporary” supposed to be?
4) The surest way to prevent progress on improving the access of every person to the basic rights that we should all enjoy is to burn down cities, riot, assault random people and loot stores. Those are definitely attention-getters, but not in a positive way. Dr. Martin Luther King engaged in peaceful protests despite putting up with a lot more physical and emotional abuse than the current crop of rioting thugs, and by being peaceful he and his supporters were able to effect enormous and positive changes in this society. HE is more responsible for there having been even the possibility, let alone the reality, of a black person being elected as President than any other single person, and is similarly more responsible than anyone else for the rise of a sizable and growing black middle class. What did Malcolm X and the Black Panthers accomplish, besides venting a lot of rage, killing a bunch of people and destroying a lot of property? Nothing. Perhaps today’s aggrieved people ought to learn a lesson or two from that recent history - and there are plenty of people in their own communities who can recount those facts and tell all of the appropriate stories.
But I’ll reiterate #1 - people who didn’t own slaves owe nothing to those who never were slaves. PERIOD!!!
