Thanks to everyone - (except the ‘Tucker Carlson’ comment and ones similar).

We’ve tried everything, saw the video suggested, etc. Nothing is working. Doesn’t fix if we leave the battery in or out, press the ‘silence’ button, nothing.

No, we have not called Verizon. There should be a way to fix something oneself, when you don’t even need this back-up thingie to start with.

Unplug the unit from the 110 power.
Open the cover.
Unplug the battery.
Wait.....
Plug the battery in.
Close cover.
Plug in 110.

I have to do it once a month.
I think it’s on a timer, the battery tests fine.
Amazon has the batterys too.
