Looking for something with 500M accuracy. Just can't get into the 5.52. Maybe .308.

Any decent .308 bolt action with adecentscope will get you to 500. Savage has guns that are plenty accurate enough, though they sometimes have issueswhen run hard. Still takes some ammo and range time to be confident, though.

I am accurate with my Armalite 5.56 to 600 yards, had difficulty thereafter. Using commercial 77 grain.

Savage makes some decent .308 tactical rifles. Any decent deer rifle would do what you want, and seem less menacing, if that matters.

Tika makes a very nice bolt-action .308. Very accurate. With the right optics, 500 yards is quite reasonable.

For closer ranges, there are many AK knockoffs.

Closer yet, Mossberg autoloading shotguns.

And, if things are going really badly, a 1911 in .45 caliber.

Sniper, look into Savage 10 in 6.5CM or a good brand AR10 in 6.5 CM with a chrome barrel. Eg LMT, Spikes tactical, BCM, S&W
