Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have been pushed out of the exclusive Bel-Air Country Club where top members were enraged their recent federal guilty pleas turned the establishment into a place of refuge and comfort for known felons.
The couple quit the club this month, TMZ reported, weeks after pleading guilty to bribing their daughters ways into the University of Southern California as part of a national college admissions scandal involving dozens of rich parents.
Their stepping down came amid a battle among members about how to handle the high-profile pair.
While the clubs Board of Directors unanimously voted to suspend the Loughlin-Giannullis, some members were incensed they werent kicked out indefinitely.
At least one prominent member, former Board President Michael Gallager, said he was resigning over the decision in a fiery letter, TMZ reported.
BACC is a Club of gentlemen and gentlewomen. Gentlemen are not felons, and felons in turn are not gentlemen. You cannot be a member in good standing and guilty of a felony at the same time, it is a non sequitur, Gallagher wrote.
He went on: The board action, taken on behalf of the Clubs membership, now establishes our Club as a place of refuge and comfort for known felons . . . This matter is already well known in the golfing world, domestically and internationally, and our Club has become a laughingstock.

I will say though, Penelope was a hottie. Wish there was more of her, and less Jamie Lee Curtis.
Im sorry but these two have done what others have done for centuries. Ok so they buy a library. I just think this story is insane. Big deal. I dont see felicity Hoffman getting this treatment. Heck she wasnt even fired on her nextflix show. I think its because Lori and her husband are republicans.
The thing is, USC isnt that hard to get in to.
LOL! Just what I was thinking of. See post #23
That was a good one too.
Damn, I may have to watch it again.
Les Moonves is a member of Bel-Air CC.
Did they kick him out?
"In Mr. Melon's defense, it was a really big check!"
Looks like you win again. The image I posted already died. :(
Poor Penelope probably ended up with one of those respectable fellows, had four kids, then got dumped for a younger model.
What Hypocrisy! As long as they are paying their dues and haven’t broken any rules how can they kicked out? Will they return the entrance fee and dues monies?
Words have meaning and actions have consequences.
That’s exactly what I want to know. When will the college who engaged in this bribery be charged and their lives ruined? Not that I care about Loughlin.
No kidding - that was one of my safety schools growing up
It is if you're white and have mediocre grades right?
Shocking! Kicked out of the elite golf country club. There’s always the felon friendly public golf course. Kind of like your daughter kicked out of Ivy League only to have to attend a state university.
Might also be hard to find golf carts to their liking.
It is when you’re family is full of morons. What cracks me up is that there’s a thousand and one forms of legal bribery. All Lori had to do was donate that half-million directly to the university, which happens all the time and is as legal as buying your brother a soft drink. She’s as dumb as her daughters. If she had donated to the school’s gift-fund (honorarium or whatever that school calls it), her daughters would’ve got in ahead of the valedictorian from Nebraska that built a laser-seismograph system for a science project that went to nationals.
Any club that would have me as a member is automatically suspect.
"Looks like it's University of Illinois!"
I'd be willing to bet that statement couldn't be further from the truth. It's likely there are only two kinds of people there: those who have been caught and those who have not yet been caught.
