Something I asked a Liberal/Dem the other day: Where is the Democrat Leadership?

Posted on 06/27/2020 12:28:56 PM PDT by GraceG

I was talking with a liberal/democrat the other day during a business transaction, ( they don't know that I am a conservative and I have pretended to be middle left before when dealing with them, they are a lot further left than what I am pretending to be ).

And I brought up the point that "Where the hell is the democrat leadership?"

I said the anti-Fa and BLM are running around tearing down statues of confederates, and that is perfectly fine ( again playing the part), but now they are goign after statues of Abe Lincoln and other abolitionists and other non-confederate leaders. And I told them that the silence is absolutely deafening!!! I complained loudly and with passion that "By them not taking a stand on this their incompetence in the matter they are going end up getting the "Cheeto in chief" re-elected!!!" ( I really wanted to sell it there ).

I told them that Biden or Pelosi or Schumer haven't come out and said:

"While we think confederate statues have no place in modern America, the statues of those who ended slavery should be preserved and anyone defacing or vandalizing them should be punished!"

I (pseudo) angrily stated that this move would cost them NO political capital at all, and would encourage me as someone in the middle to vote for Biden, instead them not responding in any condemnation whatsoever of this behavior makes them look weak to "Drumpfler" !

I said it appears that ONLY the Trump supporters are the ONLY ones currently defending the abolitionist statues from destruction, and it is making them look more reasonable by the minute.

And you know what they responded with?

"Oh I think the people who are wanting to tear down those abolitionist statues are Racist infiltrators inside of Anti-Fa/BLM" they said with a sense of smugness.

And then I said, "Well, if that is the case, why the hell are the democrats not condemning the tearing down of abolitionist statues then, if indeed the people wanting to tear them down are actually "racist infiltrators"? "

SILENCE..... It was like watching a giant clock slip a cog and a spring break out of the housing....

Dear God help us all, these people are really delusional, hopeless and helpless.

“Where the hell is the democrat leadership?”

They are all at the circle jerk in Bidens basement.

Good for you for trying.

You never know when you will get a light bulb to turn on in someone’s head. But you will also likely never know that the light bulb turned on, so just be satisfied in yourself that you tried.

More importantly, you never know who was listening to the conversation and had a light bulb go off in their head.

“Brilliant!... Thanks for the pictorial observation which, in the future, I will plagiarize like crazy...{:-)”

That was my reaction...when I stole it myself. :>)

Actually, I had heard the 4-line statement before, and thought that it was quite a brilliant synopsis of human history. It describes a cycle that repeats roughly every 80 years which, not so coincidentally, approximately matches the human lifespan. IOW, we never learn from History - that’s why this cycle repeats itself.

If you (or anyone else) want a more thorough analysis of this cycle, read “The Fourth Turning: An American Prophecy - What the Cycles of History Tell Us About America’s Next Rendezvous with Destiny” by Strauss and Howe
