That software is pretty cool and is very useful. UNTIL they get one wrong, LOL!

What I used to LOVE was when someone would come into the Garden Center with a handful of weeds (usually from their lawn) and we could Razzle-Dazzle them and tell them what weed was what and how to be rid of it.

I had a Manager at one point who would look them straight in the eye and say, “It’s a WEED. Who CARES what it’s called?”

I will love her for-EVER! :)

I am impressed how fast our tomatoes have taken off after the transplant to the grow house…

But, but....many of my wonderful native plants are considered weeds. Eye of the beholder.

Yum yum!

I made pesto with basil from my garden, salad with garden lettuce and homemade pasta.

This is my first year trying container gardening. So far, I’m very pleased. I have tomatoes, peppers, and sugar snap peas coming in.

Yes, we knew our Wildflowers, too. We told people the BENEFITS of those. But lawn weeds? Other than a few you can eat (Dandelion, Purselane, etc.) the rest should go. Well, what people should REALLY be doing is turning their Grass into Gardens, but an amazing amount of people are in love with their lawns. ;)

Beau is in his continuing battle with Giant Hog Weed and Wild Parsnip - nasty buggers (their sap can burn your skin) that pop up on his mowed trails all around our farm. He’s winning. Sort of, LOL!

Remind me again why you use a greenhouse for your tomatoes? Critters? Too short of a growing season by the sea?

I know you have great success - just can’t remember why they’re not in a garden bed...?

Not enough heat units to promote good growth for healthy tomato plants. We are a half mile from Humboldt Bay and a mile from the Pacific Ocean in the far NW corner of California. Average summer highs are in the 60s, lows in the mid 50s...

Yes, Washington Co. has those on the watch list to get rid of. I have a big one that I thought was Giant Hog Weed, but is the smaller kind that looks like it.

The other lovely plant(:^( ), is Stinky Bob or Herb Robert. Looks like wild geranium...but, it truly stinks and spreads like wildfire. I’ve given up in nature around me but try to pull everyone I see in the boarders.

Tell Beau to battle on and he has an admirer from afar...NW
