Reminds me of incident in my youth. At a “social club” like bar in Newark. Some drunk took my bar seat next to one of the wise guys. I got back and the bartender put his hands out and said: no trouble. He is leaving and does not know it. With that two goons showed up picked him up and 86ed him out the door. Those guys are all gone now but if they were in Seattle today and told to get them out I have no doubt it would be quick and painful. Recall the bar brawl in Bronx tale movie: now youse can’t leave.
The only ones to stand up to blacks in the Newark riots way back when were the Italians. Some of the first ones to protect statues this time were the Italians.
