It may be a rivalry on the field, but there’s a commonality to the Egg Bowl off of it. Especially when it comes to its state flag.
In the midst of the tumult across the nation, the calls have been growing louder for the state of Mississippi to replace its stars-and-bars-emblazoned flag. The NCAA extended its ban on holding sponsored events in the state until the flag is changed. The SEC also announced that it would no longer hold conference sponsored championships or tournaments in the state. Conference USA joined the SEC Monday in taking the same stance.

The state of Mississippi should not surrender to this blackmail. The citizens of the state have a right to the flag of THEIR choice. They were polled and, by a 2-1 margin, decided they wanted to keep the flag. Screw these interlopers trying to bully the state. Mike Leach should have stayed at Washington State and played along with the communists in that state.
Looks like the coaches are shitting their pants in fear of Wokeness.

It’s not about a flag boys, and stick your college football where the sun doesn’t shine. Serious American men need to break away from their Fall addiction and get ready to protect their families and country.
Everyone in sports sucks. Weak people with minimal knowledge outside of their skill sets.

When top rated high school football players refuse to sign with Ole Miss or Mississippi State, the Mississippi Flag will come down.
In other words, the flag will not be changed by the people of Mississippi, but by 17 year old kids from Florida, Texas, and Ohio.
Spurrier did the same thing in South Carolina.
It’s about getting recruits.
But, But, But, football makes Billions of dollars for their associated communities. The kids are putting themselves at risk for serious injuries, both acute and chronic, and these idiots are complaining about a flag.

But again, I think it’s out of concern of getting recruits more than anything.
Next, they will call for the state flags of the Union states who still allowed slavery after EP to be changed.
Then they will call for the US flag to be changed for the same reason.

I find that hilarious.
I wouldn’t worry much about basketball or football....both the NBA and NFL will be finished off within three seasons. At that point, why would college sports then matter?

The thing is now, there is a lot of peer pressure on black kids to “do the right thing”. To the point of being called “Race Traitors” if they choose to play in Mississippi.
Assuming football will still be a thing in Woke Post COVID “America”. We’ll see.
