The Washington Redskins have decided to remove all references of original owner George Preston Marshall, who founded the team in 1933 and owned it until his death in 1969. According to the Washington Post, the Redskins plan to erase Marshall's name from franchise history by removing his name from all official team material. This means Marshall will no longer be mentioned anywhere in their Ring of Fame, on their History Wall, or on the team's official website.

Marshall was also a part owner of the Boston Braves which later moved to Atlanta.

His image in photographs will be airbrushed out, down the Memory Hole with him. They will probably go through their entire archive of promotional literature and team histories and remove all references to him as well. He will become a non-person.

What about Senators owner Calvin Griffith? He actually said that he was moving his team to Minneapolis because at the time it was a much whiter community.
I had to look up his sin. Apparently, it was being slow to sign a black player. However, he did sign a black player in 1962, and since that’s nearly 60 years ago, and probably most footballers are black now, I’d say just let it go.
But there is no letting it go with the Marxists. They have found their wedge, and blacks are letting themselves be used as the tip of the spear.
