@RepThomasMassie
If, as John Bolton supposedly implies in his book, @RandPaul convinced @realDonaldTrump not to make John Bolton his Secretary of State, then Rand Paul deserves the Nobel Peace Prize! (and a thank you from POTUS)

I’m a practical person. People can change their minds. No hard feeling for those Freepers. Perhaps we wake up a few more people to the TRUE conservative cause..
you can go back and find Freepers saying Mccain was like jesus and Romney was the greatest thing since magic underwear too
Also we have to remember the onslaught of attacks from all over against POTUS was crazy. I think the mindset was just to circle the wagons, and defend POTUS.
LOL!
Seriously though lets just be happy Bolton never became SoS.. we would have World War III by now!
Most correct your post.
Bolton always loved a war he did not need to carry a rifle and risk his life in battle. Oddly I liked Bolton until I realized he was Bat Sh-t crazy relative to war. War is the last alternative to rational political discourse. War was Bolton’s first choice. Trump chose Bolton most unwisely. He fired Bolton most wisely.
Getting shot or shot at reassesses a persons priorities. I have not been shot at in battle as I was not in the military. I have been shot at.
I thus reassed my priorities. Bolton did not. He has never been shot at.
Theres a lot of wisdom in your post.
>> Trump chose Bolton most unwisely. He fired Bolton most wisely.
I think Bolton was useful to Trump as a bad cop in some good cop-bad cop negotiations with other countries. Once Bolton realized he wasnt getting his wars, his relationship with Trump deteriorated.
I scratch my head, trying to recall a time where it turned out that Senator Paul was WRONG on an issue and I just can't come up with anything.
I love Rand Paul he is the ONLY damn senator up there that stands on his beliefs the rest of them are a bunch of neocons who dont give a damn about ANYTHING but their donors!!
Trump would be better off if he listened to Senator Paul more and listened less to those whe never wanted him to be president in the first place.
Rand Paul was my first choice in the primaries and he'll be my first choice if he decides to run again.
Time and time again, Paul seems to be the only guy in Washington DC who has actually read the Constitution.
Rep Massie CRUSHED his President Trump endorsed primary opponent yesterday!
He does listen to Rand. Check the WH logs and you’ll see he is one of the most frequent senators to visit..
The problem is Trump appoints warmongers like Bolton and Pompeo at least Pompeo has been loyal so I have to give him credit for that..
Trump did not endorse in the race and Massie supports Trump in Kentucky 100%
you’re right

Looks like a third rate Grandstander named @RepThomasMassie
, a Congressman from, unfortunately, a truly GREAT State, Kentucky, wants to vote against the new Save Our Workers Bill in Congress. He just wants the publicity. He cant stop it, only delay, which is both dangerous......

...& costly. Workers & small businesses need money now in order to survive. Virus wasnt their fault. It is HELL dealing with the Dems, had to give up some stupid things in order to get the big picture done. 90% GREAT! WIN BACK HOUSE, but throw Massie out of Republican Party!
I’m sure you would agree Massie is not only 1st rate but legendary in the spirit of Davy Crockett.
The importance of that, while it is good, is overstated.
No Secretary of State in the Trump administration was going to make foreign policy. That is done in the White House and the Secretary of State is tasked with carrying it out as far as their mission is concerned.
That was true in the GWBush and Obama administrations as well. Their secretaries of state were not always happy. Powell was always unhappy and Condi knew from her own White House experience where policy was made, but I think she was fine with that. All Hillary did was travel the world and do photo ops with world leaders - knowing she was not “making policy”. Kerry and Obama were on the same Marxist wave length, so Kerry had no conflict with what Obama and Valerie Jarret were doing. But altogether foreign policy is decided in the White House not in foggy bottom.
I think that all that would have happened if Bolton had been made secretary of state is that he would have been fired sooner than he was.
McQueeg like Jesus ? They weren’t THAT sycophantic. But the Willardbots did feature some seriously deranged loonies (especially some old biddies with sex fantasies, ick).
