I suggest you go back and read some of the early Covid-19 threads. I was in them attempting to explain how the wording of death rates scale invariance sly of numbers. I don't think I got through to any of the fearbros. Some of them are still at it to this day. I was banned by predominate conservatives that went along with the BS. All of them their primary argument seemed to be the whole world is on lock down not just the US.
I read a some of those threads. It’s too bad that people couldn’t discuss the pros and cons with out assigning names such as flu bro and fear bro and fighting about it—it was often rude. And it is hard to believe that the entire world went along with a scam-especially if you haven’t really explored all the global networks.
I thought it was prudent to get prepared-if you didn’t already have a well stocked pantry and meds. I also thought it prudent to learn all we could about a new virus. I wasn’t afraid, but I did understand the argument about overwhelming a medical system—heck during regular flu season ours here is overwhelmed.
More than one occasion we had emergencies that really needed transport to the St. Louis hospitals, but no beds could be found and transfer delayed sometimes by days. Played a big part in my Dad’s final illness which he did not recover from.
I tend to like graphs better than words to paint a picture-many people just aren’t that versed in number interpretations. Given the situation, we’ll probably never know what the true numbers are or would be if not for negligent or deliberate nursing home infections and mislabeling death as from CV instead of with CV.
So I’m not unhappy with POTUS - he took prudent actions and he really does have a more complete picture than we do. And at least it ripped the mask off the Dem Governor wannabe dictators and alerted us all how medical quarantine is as real a threat to liberty the martial law that has been feared and written about many times.
I find the argument that the whole world not just America is on lockdown rather silly. Do those who use that think only Americans can be fooled?
To this day I dont understand the significance of new cases without more data. Are they asymptomatic, mild symptoms, gravely ill? If a person has 1 positive test then is required by maybe a hospital to test again, is this counted as 1 positive case or 2! Too much unknown to have confidence.
