Instead of voting on Rep Scott’s (can’t remember his first name) Police Reform bill. They won’t even hold a vote on it. They don’t want “better” police, they want NO police, and then their own Brown Shirts.

***********************************************************

...but they don’t want that either...they don’t know what they want...they really, IMHO, want Hitler and are afraid to just say it...well if you want something, spit it out...if it is they want the Hitler times, then we need to run them out, we know what happened there...burning them would be to good, run them out of the Our Country...

ROFLOL....ROFLOL...

Two permanent Democrat Senators and one voting Representative is nothing to laugh about.

Plenty of black people are disgusted and angry at the “protestors”.

I didn’t read the link but a reference to Admiral Rogers popped up on here.

I quite agree with your post.

I’ve some reason to think it was patriots back a lot further than any current crop, including Rogers, though he may have been one of them in his time, a “Q”, but it came out of old timers and retired generals who had the goods and No One to entrust it, for a long time. I have even mused if Trump was developed and of the remote possibility that Trump’s great affection for his military academy experience may have actually run much deeper than just one proud and endearing memory.
How’s that for a novel? :D

Why do I have a feeling this is going to be the norm now...’lets keep them in their house’ type thing???

I went to a bank in the Vancouver, BC area yesterday -- socially distanced line down the sidewalk, only three people permitted in the teller area at a time, appointments recommended to talk with a banker. The woman directing foot traffic outside, with a security guard next to her, was telling people that she thought this approach was not going to end. In her mind, public safety would require this kind of viral paranoia forever.

NP obviously meant to say Kirby Puckett.

Lifetime .318 hitter.

I remember him being quoted in the papers, after he signed his first big contract, "I'm gonna go home and make me lot of little Kirbys."

Don’t mean to ask a silly question but are all data results compiled by patient ID. Or if someone gets tested at say CVS and is positive then in a week or so goes to ER on unrelated reason but is required to test again, is that counted as one case or 2. If double counted that would account for high numbers. I ask my doctor’s office and they had no idea.

I would never wear a mask for covid unless I had to if, for isntance, I had a doc appt and they were required by law.

Otherwise, no no no. DH is going to Costco soon and last I read they required masks. He was going to quit his membership but decided to wear a mask with a message. He’s going to write either “TRUMP 2020” or “THIS IS A MIND CONTROL DEVICE” on it.
———-

I think they are trying to mandate them here in Odessa. I told my husband I’d be sporting a “Zorro” mask if they did.

It is, after all, a face mask.

In the March 17, 2003 edition of Sports Illustrated, columnist George Dohrmann wrote an article entitled “The Rise and Fall of Kirby Puckett.” The article documented Puckett’s alleged indiscretions and contrasted his private image with the much-revered public image he had previously maintained. Specifically, the article stated that Puckett had extramarital relationships with several women and that a female Minnesota Twins employee had obtained a financial settlement following a claim that Puckett had sexually harassed her. The article added Tonya Puckett had called police on December 21, 2001, to report that Puckett had threatened to kill her.[

Say that gives me an idea! When I used to have to go into cleanrooms at work, class 100, required gown, gloves, booties, hairnet, and beard cover if needed. The reason is that most contaminants are from humans - dead skin, dandruff, all that stuff we shed like cats and dogs but don't realize it ;-) Also ESD (static electricity) control.

Well, the beard masks are translucent polypropylene or some such, a mesh that you can see through and which which wouldn't restrict breathing at all if you pulled one up over your nose and mouth. But I would bet money it would set off the "Karen Alarms" because it doesn't look like they want you to look. I guess you could get into an argument about whether polypro is an approved material or not, and it wouldn't do as much to stop a sneeze.

I probably won't bother to test the limits but it would be funny if someone did. "You say I have to wear a mask. I AM wearing a mask!"
