If you know anyone who signed an online petition to recall Gavin Newsom, please let them know they've been duped. Valid petitions require signing a paper copy with specific content and formatting per state rules.
I think the reason that two prior recall efforts to recall Gavin Newsom "didn't collect enough" signatures is fake petition websites like the one below, which has already absorbed about 350,000 signatures. That number is more than sufficient to get the recall vote on the ballot - but the petition is fake and will not result in recall. People unaware that Change.org petition is fake will likely decline to sign a valid petition hoping to avoid duplication.
The Fake Petition example below is from Change.org but I imagine there are both fake online and print petitions. Make sure to sign the right one .

Thanks to FReepers Persevero and malach, a valid petition site has been identified.
Be careful how you return your completed petition. The website lists persons in each county collecting petitions; check them out first. If you deliver to your local Republican Pary office, check them out as they may be Rinos. The Democrats have taught me to trust no one.
The real website has been posted since the 9th of this month....geez...it’s in the Activism sidebar.

And people who believe they already signed it will ignore the link on the sidebar. So, it’s necessary to spread the word to those 350,000 who signed the change.org petition to realize it’s fake. That Change.org petition is still collecting new signatures every 8 minutes or so.
Are suckers for going to change.org.

See where is says, “3 States with approved recall petitions for Democrat governors (Minnesota, Michigan, Oregon) - California coming soon”? Click on it. The real website is there.
I suppose the people who created the fake petition have the names and addresses of the 300,000 who signed. Nice start for their naughty list.

That’s how corrupt Marxist Newsom got out of the last recall.
Make sure you’re signing or downloading the real deal. There are signups at WalMarts. This is too important to screw up. Forward to everyone you know and ask them to post on social media. Even if you’re not in CA, a recall of the POS Newsom will send a message to the rest of the Marxist Blue State POS, Mayors, and State reps. They have to go.
They had 350,000 signatures. Is there a way to let them know where to get the real petition?
