He could have answered this better and said we need to find more accurate ways of reporting test results, because the states use those results to make policy decisions

The media has endless stories that he said “I don’t kid” even though nothing in his remarks said he asked to slow down testing.

One thing that the Trump people need to know is that unless you have Marine One, it’s very hard to travel in this country now. If you’re coming from another state, sometimes you’re subject to a 2-week “quarantine” before you can go to your destination, and if you’re flying, forget it...
Flying is even more hellacious now. Masks, people can’t sit next to each other, no alcohol, no food except a bag of peanuts or something given to you with the only liquid you will have on the flight...one of those tiny 8 oz (1/4 liter) bottles of water. So people aren’t going to be traveling they way they used to.
