Star Mississippi State RB threatens to leave program unless state changes its flag

Kylin Hill, a star running back at Mississippi State, threatened Monday to leave the program if the state does not change its flag. Mississippi is the only state that features the Confederate battle flag as part of its state flag, and it has been under increased pressure recently to move away from that symbol of slavery and the Civil War.

MS State stopped flying the state flag on campus in about 2015. The University President sent an open letter to the legislature a couple days ago asking for a “renewed debate” on changing the flag in light of the SEC threat to not hold championships there unless the flag is changed. MS State is so-so in football, but tops in baseball and women’s basketball.

Why did he pick Mississippi State in the first place? He KNEW what the Mississippi state flag looked like when he committed to State. I call BS on this.
