I thought the "noose" was supposedly found inside on a workbench - or at least inside vs. as a door closing aid...

The noose was found in the garage stall for the No. 43 car racing team, which is owned by Richard Petty Motorsports. It’s unclear who has access to Wallace’s stall, which is located in Talladega, Alabama.

Sometimes folks go too far to prove their point and get in the way of the truth coming out...I still think he has some Black crewmember that may have been involved.

So is any rope with a loop on it considered a noose these days? WTF.

I’ve been a NASCAR fan for almost 50 years. A real NASCAR fan.

I sent NASCAR a letter a few days ago informing them why I am no longer a fan. The final straw was a change to the rules allowing teams to disrespect the flag during opening ceremonies.

I also mentioned Bubba Wallace. He had a great stage to tell people that he wanted to be hailed for his talent, not his skin color.

I also mentioned that the BLM car he drove gave him an unfair advantage because no one wanted to be the cracker who wrecked the black guy.

His career average finish is 24th place. Yet in the last three races, his average is 12th.

Yesterday, the other drivers all groveled at his feet to literally push his car down pit road before the race started. I’ve never, ever seen anything like that before.

Last year, Wallace tweeted out some disturbing stuff after breaking up with his girlfriend. It seemed almost suicidal. The NASCAR community gathered around and encouraged him.

So if this noose thing turns out to be a hoax, was his depression a hoax too?

Since I don’t need a bowline often I have to look it up if needed.

If I need a tensioned loop for tying 4x8s to the roof I just make a slip knot half way up and tie a knot below that at the slip knot & run that through the loop, crank down and then use a couple of granny knots.

It is actually hard to otherwise make a knot easily that won’t slip.

An overhand knot on a bite is the easiest knot to make for loop in a rope. A bowline is easier to untie after a load has been placed on it. A hangman’s noose would be a terrible way to make a loop in a pull rope. The loop could just pull through and the knot would come undone if there was nothing in the loop to hold it.

I think NASCAR is Dixie Chicking themselves. They won’t get an audience with a tranny driver and all that silliness either.

Any time I tie down a load, I use the boy scout tent rope knot. Holds better than anything I know of, easily adjustable. Tie down a load of lumber. Drive 5 miles and stop. Just grab this knot and pull, it’s tight, unties just as easy, but I’ve used it to pull vehicles too.

www.ropeknots.com/rope_knots/tautline-hitch

I’ve used it since about 1966 when I had to learn it for boy scouts, most useful knot ever. OK except shoelace knot...

Inasmuch as this “whole thing” appears to be a HOAX, is the CEO of NASCAR going to MAKE A PUBLIC APOLOGY TO EVERYONE & then BAN HIMSELF for life for being a FOOL & a PC-clown??

Thanks - your link went to a login/sale site but www.ropeknots.com went through.

This is a good site (NetKnots.Com) with "video" for knots: tautline-hitch

Again - Thanks. ;-)
