This has the potential to be very embarrassing for NASCAR.
When NASCAR rolled in to Alabama and the Talledega motor speedway, the story of a rope noose in the garage of Bubba Wallace grabbed media attention. However, a NASCAR video of the exact garage doors at the Talledega motor speedway shows all of the garages have ropes and nooses on them.

A figure eight on a bite is another knot to make a loop in a rope. It is commonly used in mountain climbing to make loops in a rope so multiple climbers can clip into a rope with locking carabiners for a rope team.

We’re hearing from Bubba Wallace and NASCAR people that it’s offensive and hurtful that anyone would question the veracity of the noose claim. Yet these people have the power to dispel the theory and embarrass those who advance it simply by showing us the noose, but refuse. Weird

Can anyone identify that type of knot? I know it’s not a noose knot.
I tried to ID the knot type, but no photo I saw was clear enough.
