At least 106 people were shot in Chicago, 13 of them fatally, from midafternoon Friday through early Monday, according to city officials and Tribune data.
It is the most people shot in one weekend since at least 2012 but not the deadliest this year, after more than 20 were killed over the last weekend in May, according to data compiled by the Tribune. Twelve of those shot this past weekend were younger than 18 years old. Five of those children died.

Where’s Larry Lightfoot?
(Only) Black (Criminal) Lives Matter!
Yes.
Just another day in the ‘hood....
Callous disregard of the simple proprieties of life, and a total lack of any restraint on the part of these thugs and scofflaws who KNOW they stand very little chance of being arrested, and virtually no chance at all of ever being indicted.
Life was less brutal in the days of cavemen.
Probably so.
Seems a normal day in Chitown. Need to give Lightfoot a hotfoot to wake her up.
“Black lives only matter when its convenient and Dems need to raise money”
You said a mouthful right there my friend. If the black community ever wakes up to that fact enmass...I suspect the democratic party will cease to exist as we know it.
If only the whole country had gun control like they have in Chicago!
The Night Chicago Died
Paper Lace
Daddy was a cop on the east side of Chicago
Back in the U.S.A. back in the bad old days
In the heat of a summer night
In the land of the dollar bill
When the town of Chicago died
And they talk about it still
When a man named Al Capone
Tried to make that town his own
And he called his gang to war
With the forces of the law
I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be!
I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed!
And the sound of the battle rang
Through the streets of the old east side
‘Til the last of the hoodlum gang
Had surrendered up or died
There was shouting in the street
And the sound of running feet
And I asked someone who said
“’Bout a hundred cops are dead!”
I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be!
I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed!
And there was no sound at all
But the clock upon the wall
Then the door burst open wide
And my daddy stepped inside
And he kissed my mama’s face
And he brushed her tears away
The night Chicago died
(Na-na na, na-na-na, na-na-na)
The night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed!
The night Chicago died
(Na-na na, na-na-na, na-na-na)
The night Chicago died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be!
The night Chicago died
(Na-na na, na-na-na, na-na-na)
The night Chicago died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed!
And when Rats need to get the black vote back. I’m sure most of the BLM movement has to do with that 40% black approval rating for President Trump.
They’re batting 0.1226.
Not one shot by a cop...
There it is. They matter if you can use them.
All cultures are equal.
Earlier in the weekend it was .08333333
A fvckton of them live here. It’s just routine to have this kind of violence in the summer months, and it doesn’t fit the BLM narrative of systemic racism. Therefore, nobody cares.
Black communities are free to victimize one another all they want, without repercussions.
Maybe they need stricter gun laws since the citizens of that fine city are ignoring the draconian ones already in place.
They’re getting better!
