I think Apple will offer Intel and ARM Macbooks. The ARM versions will be priced higher and will be the more elite models that are offered. They will be more versatile, able to run IOS apps, longer battery life, will be lighter and thinner. I don’t know if they will be any faster than the Intel based models.

Intel can also boot up Windows. ARM cannot.

If they move to ARM, guessing that option goes away.

No from what I gleaned virtualization was going to be built in. In fact everything they showed yesterday seemed to be running on ARM processors natively. Looks way too much like iOS with the upgraded interface to suit me. The started making everything in pale text fonts no clear lines marking binderies as soon as the NEXT people came on board. I would rather have the old OS 9 look than the sissified look they have today. White keyboards with pale white text marked on them is not popular with old geezers, have to use an overlay, since the refuse to make a ini space grey keyboard like the offer on the Mac Books. Oh Well just another thing that I have absolutely no power to change added to an even bigger list from the past that I could not change.

Forv me, two best companies are Apple and Lenovo. My Thinkpad is still running strong.

No Lenovo for me, ever. A Communist Chinese company headquartered in Beijing. Buy American!
