You get a different article list every time you do the search, but if you keep trying enough times, the exact same "news article" will eventually show up with a different number in the "new cases" and "fatalities" count.
This is evil.
P
Yep.
riverside County 622.
This is for twitter (per OP), not Goggle.
'So it doesnt matter what number you type in...the cases increase by that number. That is some shady 💩 right there. Still believe the media??'
Eg) type in "123newcases" or USE any 3 number combination and just like that, Google and the media oblige.#WakeUpAmerica #COVID pic.twitter.com/sltfYAZzVt— Rachel #LuckeyAce (@rfitzger71) June 22, 2020
Apologies.....it was posted on twitter, that it happens on Goggle.
Sorry about that.
Amazing
555 renders Virginia sees 555 new coronavirus cases, now reporting ...
666 renders Virginia sees 666 new coronavirus cases, now reporting ...
425 renders Harris County coronavirus count: 425 new cases confirmed ...
333 renders Wisconsin coronavirus: State reports 333 new cases, 11 ...
879 renders Florida reports 879 new cases of coronavirus after weekend of ...
We’re being played.
All reporting 999 new cases of CV-19. Typing in a different number gives a search list from anywhere from March through May...
I did it too, crazy.
It demonstrates the media focus, it’s basically all they are reporting on, that and BLM
Nope, didn’t work for me.
I typed in “4 new cases”
And I got a lot of post about 4 covid incidents, either cases or deaths, and a bunch more that had at least a 4 in the number, such as “484 cases”.
Trying various others I never got the same stuff coming up. I don’t doubt you did, just it must have to do with your particular combinations of computer programs or something. I am different and did not get what you are getting.
That goes to show how they manipulate data.
Its a smart search engine. Its going to bring up the closest results. This shouldnt really shock anyone who understands how search engines work.
“that is weird. post the twitter reference if you can.”

I just tried it on Bing and it worked there also, at least for the two numbers I tried, 423 and 667.
Spooky. They’re not going to let this covid stuff die, maybe ever.
They can do this for anything. We are screwed.
What’s the deal? Either you don’t like cookies, or you have run out of statues to pull down, I guess.
LOL - I had doubts til I tried it. That’s a real hoot.
.
So many search engines have been half-assed for a while already.
In the old days when you put multiple words there was an implied ‘AND’ between then (rather than an implied ‘OR’ in the functional search criteria
This makes it ‘hit’ on ANY of the words, and leads to hundreds of pages of useless filtering YOU have to do to find the specific narrowed intersection you were looking for.
WHY this change?
I figure its is so : More paid advertising entries can be packed to the top of the pages returned (they now match more easily you see...) - That’s the other thing they’ve been doing for quite a while - tacking onlargely unrelated product/business entries they get paid to push. They even repeat the same ones page after page.
Wasting YOUR time is unimportant when there is so much money to be made for them.
.
What an amazing algorithm.
It is almost like magic.
Bow down and thank Mother Google. /s
I typed “123 new” ... and autofill suggested “cases.”
Several articles were returned about 123 new cases in Louisiana.
