Why do you believe there’s a ‘difference’ between creation and creator? We’re not talking about humans, here - THEY didn’t create the Universe.

GOD created it all ‘ex nihilo’. What else could he have made if from, but Himself?

There’s a difference between ‘worshipping nature’ and realizing that nothing exists or has LIFE within it, except that it is made of God, and is enlivened by God.

My beliefs about the ultimately spiritual basis of all Life in the universe have nothing political about them at all. I don’t worship ‘Gaia’. I worship a creator God, without whose eternal breathing of Life into all of creation, there would be no life anywhere.

The only reason we exist is because God felt the desire to express Himself. We’re God, pushed-out into the material Universe, which, in turn, was created for our occupancy.

He didn’t just ‘make’ you, and leave you here to survive according to some mechanistic ‘laws’. He’s living inside of you and all of us, and is the only real *life* that we have.

I know that doesn’t go along with many traditional religious beliefs; but if you think about it for a while, it usually can be fitted-in.

Of course, this won’t work if you believe that God is an angry, vengeful God, ready to send you to ‘Hell’ for eternity if you do certain things - or fail to do others - and violate His code. Or if you think he’s some sort of Emperor who makes no allowance for all of the weird exigencies He has put us into Himself!

(I watched a video today where Della Reese was talking about her reasons for leaving the traditional Christian church in which she was raised. She said she was tired of being told that she was a sinner and a ‘wretch’. She realized that the Bible told her that she was ‘made in the image of God’ - and if she was a wretch, God must be one, too....and she went looking for another path.)

We are sinners, and that's the bad news. God sent Christ to redeem us, however--that's the good news. There's no need to feel bad about it. But there is no redemption without repentance. To know where you're going, you must know where you came from.
