Since the introduction of the scientific method in the middle ages, most of the early scientists to whom we owe much of our knowledge were Christians. Today's atheists who claim science and religion are mutually exclusive are therefore ignorant. And one of my favorite quotes is by Galileo:

"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with senses, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use"

I tend to believe quantum mechanics is not something we were generally meant to understand. That doesn't mean we can't try, however.

Oh, I think we’re ‘meant’ to try and understand everything.

What I’ve learned from science has always deepened my conviction that there is an Intelligent Design behind the material universe.
