I think the regular flu season only goes through April or May, though, so the comparisons might not hold up now.
That said, I still think any numbers are cooked to make COVID look as horrible as possible.
I don't think we'll ever know the truth.

I suggest you do a search on “Covid-19 dashboard.” Then I like to select “trends” then “deaths.” You can select different states, or countries. US Deaths are down. Same with the states that I have looked at. The death data has periodic drops. Delayed reporting for the weekend?
