I have, too. Great movie with a sad, but true, ending. Wilderness is not to be trifled with. Most state parks, and much of the US National Park system are outdoors, but not real wilderness where there’s nobody but you, yourself, and you if you get into some real trouble.

Agreed, he has written some really good books.

JK is a good storyteller, but he seems to place the blame on many others for the ‘96 disaster, namely Boukreev. Anatoli saved 3 lives that day; I don’t think JK rescued anyone.

I've just read his old stuff, "Into the Wild" and "Into Thin Air." Both were very good.
