Its just the flu, bro.
There are a few threads about contact tracing programs being automatically downloaded onto cell phones. Apparently this is why 25 million cell phones disappeared in China almost overnight a few months ago. A few had the theory that 25 million died, but this sounds more reasonable. I didnt realize Chinese people appreciate freedom so much as to get rid of their phone. But the prospect of forced quarantines are not appealing to anybody. We certainly dont want want forced quarantines of those who come in contact with the virus in the USA. Contact tracing is also a Democrat idea, in case you didnt know.
That’s well worth watching!
Restores faith in humanity. Can’t let 1/2 of 1% of the population control things.
Right?
I accidently posted it here. Doh!
Your title for this thread is SO clever!

“Proclamation on Declaring a National Emergency Concerning the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Outbreak”

Very nice...kind of a “Morning in America” vibe.
Which proves or argues what?
Whenever any president declares a national emergency and invokes his emergency powers, the nation is dealing with a very serious threat. More than 120,000 COVID-19 fatalities as of today and counting proves the wisdom of the president’s action.
You are placing a dangerously degree of trust in man (Biden would likely make racism a very serious threat). Nor does 20,000 COVID-19 fatalities or even 200,000 justify the unprecedented reaction to COVID-19 in all its scope and degrees, by governments and the media.
Besides ignoring the greater long-term cost of the shutdown and paranoia. to hold your position you must also conclude that the response to the Asian flu should have been at least as severe as to COVID-19 and were very negligent in not instituting a nationwide basic shutdown, since as said and ignored, it saw the equivalent of about 200,000 COVID-19 deaths. And that was despite a vaccine being soon available beginning in June 1957. And unlike Covid, "the first wave peaked in October principally affecting children who recently returned to school after summer break; the second wave in January and February 1958 was more pronounced among elderly people, and consequently was more fatal...Estimates of the number of deaths worldwide vary, with the UK Government estimating between one and four million and the CDC estimating 1.1 million." The American voter hires one man to make the tough calls. The president made it. We also hire 50 Governors and tens of thousands of mayors to do the same thing.
Its called a republic.
You’d have a point if we were the only nation to take extraordinary measures. About 200 nations have responded the exact same way that we have.
You are not simply sanctioning leadership as making tough calls, but presenting such as infallible ("Whenever any president declares..." unprecedented national measures and shutdown is warranted). Wait till you see what liberal leadership does with Climate Change.
You’d have a point if we were the only nation to take extraordinary measures. About 200 nations have responded the exact same way that we have.
Which is wrong and misleading. What other nations do (including gun confiscation) is not the standard for what is right for another country, any more than what NYC does is right for Wyoming. And "Extraordinary measures" is a broad term and to some degree such can be warranted, however, for one, the all-ages stay-sheltered admonition was and is counter-productive, as is the degree of economic shutdown in the long term. And the paranoia hype by the liberals and media is politically driven.
My argument was that the COVID-19 remains unprecedented, and is unwarranted, and your response is basically follow leadership and the crowd. Following the crowd leaders to worshiping the anti-Christ.
Comparing President Trump to the anti-Christ tells me all I need to know about you.
That last sentence was supposed to say, "Following the crowd leads to worshiping the anti-Christ," which it does, and in context there was no inference that Trump was as the anti-Christ, but your basis for justifying the unprecedented COVID-19 reaction, that leadership and the crowd does it, does lead to worshiping the anti-Christ. And the Republic that the Founders instituted is not that of uncritically following leadership and the crowd, as instead this country began in principled dissent from such, but not with an animus toward authority. That you seem to advocate simply following leadership and the crowd tells us about you.
