You’ll certainly have your face plastered everywhere, especially after almost certainly being picked up on cameras while in the store, so driving away will give you an extra hour or two of freedom, but that’s about it.
As to being charged, it depends on the country. Outside of the urban counties in Texas, you have a much better chance of not getting charged, providing that you’re not plugging people who are backing away.

I’m not quite sure what you’re getting at. Back in the old days, correcting others in public was no big deal. And you might even get back a “Sorry, sir.”
But the days of “Leave it to Beaver” are long gone. That ugly mob was not interested in being corrected by some lone white guy. And they learned NOTHING from what he said. Even an arrest won’t stop them from cutting lines again.
And the next guy - unless he’s Chuck Norris - will get a beating for “disrespecting” them. The ugly, ugly truth is that there are no good options in cases like this one, especially when you are outnumbered.
Nope ...no good options...but... if the guy had been packing...after the 2nd and 3rd thug attacked me..I think Id be fearing for my life....blow away 1 2 and 3 and I think 4 5 and 6 would show a little respect for me...

For me, it’s a risk-reward kind of thing.
I’m always armed with something when I leave the house. In particular, I’m a fan of the long version of the Kubotan. And I’m well-trained in its use. I normally carry a firearm only when I go fishing in a remote area. I understand that some folks will think that’s odd.
Anyway, back to the risk-reward thing. I will not risk getting into an all-out fight just to keep someone from jumping a line in a store. But I would take that risk instantly if someone’s life were in danger.

Knowing what we know about the victim, the correct answer is: 7.) get out of the area and keep my gun at the ready in case the savages attack me. There is no point in helping the victim here who would probably testify on behalf of the perps.
