Boy Scouts supports Black Lives Matter, requires diversity merit badge for Eagle Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) issued a statement in support of the Black Lives Matter movement on Monday, calling it a "human rights issue" and saying a "diversity and inclusion" merit badge will be a requirement for Eagle Scouts going forward.

The BSA executive committee in its statement expressed regret for "not [being] as brave as we should have been" on using the group's platform to address racism.

Terrible to see after a long family tradition of scouting back to the 20s.

We lost 2 generations to colleges.

so the 40 or 50 and older white guys are on one side, plus maybe a bunch of white folks who didn’t go to college (thanks God) and a minority of white women.

I am disgusted. My son is one merit badge and an Eagle Project away from Eagle Scout. He has been with scouts since he was 6. Tiger thru Arrow Of Light to Life Scout.
We are about to walk away.
