I bought a box of face masks at the grocery store recently.
You know what it says on the back of the box: “NOT intended for use in a healthcare setting.”

The local rag always has pictures of people with masks on the front page, and all over the paper. It’s the new symbol of submission. It’s how they are training us to be submissive sheep. We are sick of it.
When a karen complains about me not wearing a mask I just say “thanks for your concern, Monk. Do you have enough wipes?”
And that is what it comes down do. They are all Monk. i.e. the threat really is there and always has been, but still, a life lived in fear is a life half lived.
Driving is dangerous but I still do it. Eating out at a restaurant is dangerous, but I still do it.
And mowing my lawn, and using my table saw, and petting a dog or cat, and water skiing, and scuba diving and bicycle commuting, and drinking alcohol.
And we’ve lived with pandemics for millennia but virtually nobody wears a virtually worthless mask to “make people around them feel good”.
The mask thing is silly, as far as I can see. I chuckled a little inside when I saw Asians do it and nothing has changed. The “designer” masks especially crack me up.
It’s really just a cultural divide.

I believe masks are about 90% effective for protection while shopping.
In my area, about 25% of shoppers don’t wear masks.
I am so sick of seeing these morons driving around in their cars alone wearing masks and goggles, or walking, jogging or bicycling outside wearing masks and goggles. It completely destroys the illusion that they area we live in is not populated with complete idiots... And then there are they daily reminder posts that many politically like minded Freepers are not as resistant to MSM propaganda as we would like to believe.
Because we are SO over it, that is why many of us stopped. Fauci’s lying does not help. We do not believe medical “authorities” due to his BS.
My pastor put out a memo yesterday asking for a vote as to whether we should have a masked service and a non-masked service. There are still alot of scared people.

Anything short of an N95 is just theater. I wear one in stores to accomodate the mental health needs of the snowflakes.
Because they do not work unless you are clean shaven;
because you are recirculating an virus you may have and concentrating it;
because they only are good for 4 hours and washing destroys the effectiveness of the filter;
because they are generally a waste of money unless you are in a clinical environment.
And all this ‘safety’ and ‘sterility’ degrades your immune system.
Why do you assume Garry is infected - the mask will not prevent you from catching it?
If you are wearing a mask, I assume you are infected.
I’m sure that wearing a mask has its own health hazards because it cuts the flow of oxygen, forces the wearer to breathe in the CO2 he exhaled, and quickly gets contaminated with the microbes that he exhaled.
It’s a circular argument:
“Masks prevent you from giving the virus to someone else.”
“Masks don’t prevent you from getting the virus.”
So if you wear a mask, you can get the virus. If you don’t wear a mask, you can get the virus.
The argument is not logical.
Because a piece of cloth is not going to stop you from being exposed to or infected by a virus....
Pure and simple... Masks are simply theater.
If you want to mandate everyone wear an N95 mask at all times, fine.. but even that doesn’t stop a virus 100%... and most places the “mask” requirement is a joke... here’s a bandana... or an old shirt tied around your face... that’ll teach that virus.
Its theater, nothing more.
I have a nice RED MAGA mask to wear when required.
Simple, I don’t wear a mask because I’m not frightened of this over-hyped flu. If I catch it, I’ll deal with it. I’m less than 60 with no underlying conditions. Like the seasonal flu, I will probably be fine.
