Lyme Disease
Vanity

Posted on 06/16/2020 6:02:09 PM PDT by cork

Just took a blood test for Lyme Disease. I have been having unexplained joint pain in my legs and lack of energy. Have had several tick bites in the last several months. What does anyone know about this?

Brother in law, niece and coworker have had it. Get it treated early. None of them did. They suffered secondary effects of the infection. Bell’s palsy, joint problems and other issues. My prayers are with you.

Have been trying to find a specialist. None in my area and we are pulluted with them this year. What I am finding most doctors don’t know anything about it

Just took a blood test for Lyme Disease. I have been having unexplained joint pain in my legs and lack of energy.

My son in Law last summer had terrible joint pains in his knees.

After two misdiagnosis the Doctors concluded he had Lyme disease.

He was treated for it, and is OK now.-Tom

I know that there was a highly effective vaccine against Lyme disease which was withdrawn because the shrill anti-vaxers screamed and screeched so loud that the manufacturer said “f*** this sh**” and stopped marketing it.

However your dog can get the exact same vaccine with no ill effects. Maybe if you were friends with a veterinarian you could get the a dose of the Lyme vaccine. I'd take it in one quick jiffy if I could get some.

I have had LD twice. Caught it early, antibiotics did the job.

My Mom and Brother both got infected with Lyme about 6 years ago. My brother had the tell tale “bullseye” red mark on his shoulder. Both went to the doctor and were given antibiotics. My Mom passed away from unrelated causes but my brother is doing fine. Go to the doctor and get the treatment, you should be fine, God Bless.

If infected, antibiotics don’t always get rid of it. I understand this is partly due to a biofilm it creates to keep medicine at bat.

If the case with you, there are enzymes that are believed to eat such biofilms, along with scar tissue. Look into time release versions of lumbrokinase, serrapeptase, and nattokinase.

I can say my wife and I did a round of all three until the bottles were gone and my wife noticed some long-term pains from fibroids are now gone.

I didn’t notice anything.

This reminded me of some of the experimentals they have been trying for covid
Check ivermectin ( or stromectol)
A fairly benign drug
Do your research

Docycycline or tetracycline can be effective if used early
I myself keep a supply of doxcy and will take 200 mg immediately after any possible tick bite

This disease can be terrible if it progresses so get early diagnosis and aggressive treatment

Not much except that antibiotics are usually given and Trump seemed to imply to that democrat lawmaker that HCQ worked on lyme disease.

Lived in CT from 1976 ‘till 1992. Lyme disease was so prevalent in the years ‘85 thru the year we left CT in ‘92 if you suspected a tick bite and removed the tick you sent it to a state laboratory in Hartford. Ten days later, or so, you received a response. Not once did I receive a response that was positive for Lyme disease. This was at least a half dozen inquiries spread out over 3-5 years in that time frame.

I had Lyme (lived 20 miles from Lyme, CT) in 1997. QUICK treatment with anti-biotics took care of it. Early treatment is important. Do you have a bullseye rash? That is sometimes a good indicator.

It can be permanent. Antibiotics should kill it but not quickly. It can be pretty bad if not treated. Some MS has been attributed to Lyme.
