The reason the hit was done in public was because it would look like an accident, or at worst, a clumsy police procedure. Not as if there is a shooting and then the messy problem of hiding and disposing of the body.
Mr. Floyd had to go simply because the passing of the counterfeit $20, and being caught, would bring in the US Secret Service, which agency would immediately take custody of Floyd, move him to their facilities, and proceed to both grill him and offer him a "deal" if he exposed his sources. That would bring the whole house down on both the CIA funding stream and the FBI covert-intelligence operation running out of that strip club. that gets seriously embarrassing fast. So the Secret Service had to be precluded from getting to Floyd, he had to get hit first.
Unless Chauvin dies in custody, he will have to be "protected," or else the smooth racket will collapse and other players will be fired or go to jail. It is how big-city organized crime works. Ask anyone in Chicago; they know the score. A classic hit. Had nothing to do with "race".

Or was it...?
I have read the bar was a La Raza front for gun running.
This is the biggest piece of junk “journalism” I’ve seen in a lonnnnng time.
Now we’re in my wheelhouse!
“But when did the Bavarian Illuminati use the second refrigerator key to steal the strawberries?”
That IS the question!
I find it truly frustrating.
We have a cause worth fighting for.
I forget the quote, we are in the uncomfortable period when we can no longer live with them, but it is still to early to shoot the burst turds.
Without a clear leader and without a galvanizing event, Old Baldy need not point his reproachful wing at me.
Thank you for the kindness of your honorable and understanding response.
I’ve been wondering why George Floyd was executed so publically.
It is not unusual at all that a cop with multiple complaints against him is untouched. Countless cops who are dirty are still riding around. We have several cops here who have been fired for doing illegal stuff on camera. What happens then is their union rep goes to an arbitrator who give the guy his job back after say 30-45 days. Its how the police system is set up to protect dirty cops. San Antonio Police Dept is the most corrupt police force in the United States. All these smaller towns take their cues from ours. Boston and Chicago both come in behind us.
Evidence for that "could have"? It's my understanding that with any opioid a lethal dose will manifest in seconds.
