At this time in 2016, Hillary was up by over 20 points with an estimated 450 EV’s. So I am a tad skeptical that Biden is really up 14 points.

Well, I will agree with that. There are polls which are meant for public consumption and polls which are used internally to assess their position. But I think a lot of people, especially on the conservative side, have nothing but disdain for polls and pollsters, and either will not talk to them or lie. The internal polling has to be accurate, and I wonder what they do to get around the “unfaithful pollee” problem.
