Looks like an odd way to make things grow in a fake garden.
I guess it dawned on them that growing food is not only hard work; it takes a lot of time and patience.
Something the chaz crew lacks.

Not sure about the backstory to this, but why are the CHAS residents growing crops? They have the city of Seattle at their beck and call to deliver them whatever supplies they need. Seriously, this could continue all the way through Election Day.

"Looks like an odd way to make things grow in a fake garden."
Plants look like weeds when they first sprout from the ground. The food doesn't erupt from the ground fully packaged (except maybe in TV commercials).

A homeless Chad for Bush, or for Gore?

Seventy nine percent of truck drives said they would not deliver to cities where these type of zones are set up.

Is that what he was supposed to be doing?
Posing with a Bo staff?
I thought maybe the guy was having some kind of seizure.
It was like his lower legs weren’t working.//

They are virtue signaling their concerns about mother nature and self sufficiency. Just like their water, sewage, electricity, and garbage collection are all self sufficient.
To: CatOwner
They’re not growing crops, did you see their “garden”? They threw cardboard on the ground, threw dirt on top of that, and called it a garden. First time it rains, all you’ll see there is wet cardboard and sad liberals.
To: Boomer
Maybe Bloomberg could give them some pointers.

I've seen it suggested that CHAZ was trying to grow cardboard.
It would explain a lot.

Food? They’re probably planting pot.
To: metmom
How long does it take to grow pot?

It’s been raining every day here in Seattle. Some sun in the afternoons but not enough to ripen my tomatoes which I grow every year.
