Any deployment of Active duty mil or Federalized NG inside CONUS will require the Act or martial law.

Well that’s what I would think too, however, I’m not sure that is true anymore. Given all the stuff that has been passed since 9/11. I do know that Federal Agencies can request assistance of DOD by memo. Given the explosions and arson, ATF for example might ask for help of a special team.

And what if we have foreigners from other militaries(sleepers) bombing and setting fires? Would the military be able to be used for that?

And in a state of emergency, the President has a lot of extra powers, and many of the laws restricting use of military have exceptions.

And there’s the Joint Terrorism Task Forces to be used. Also don’t forget that every agency ordered loads of arms and ammunition—ie apparently have a “swat” team/special ops type team that has Federal jurisdiction over Federal crimes.

And also the Stafford Act might just have some additional leverage to allow POTUS more options. In addition, while governors are bad-mouthing POTUS for political reasons, they may also quietly agree or ask for help-cause they have to know that such discord could hamper their own re-election.

I assume nothing, and I do believe that much is happening that we are not aware of yet. Nor will we necessarily be told about it. And I don’t know that we know all the sneaky laws that were passed —if LSM didn’t report it, who has time to read thousands of pages of US Code?

JTTF guys aren't military, but are trained by them. That of course doesn't mean that the mil trainers can't/wouldn't do ops with their boys. Mil can and does support local and fed LE, do it all the time.

But in CONUS use of active mil/federalized NG for LE purposes (not support) is prohibited by Posse Comitatus and associated statutes for the Navy and the Corps. Martial Law and the invocation of the Insurrection Act removes those obstacles. After the DC Appeals Court on Flynn and the USSC execrable LGBTQJVG:UIBPYBVO decision today, I hope for whatever it takes to get to Military Tribunals/Commissions.

He does, but to get the Active Mil, the above are the two avenues.

Federal LE has some very talented teams. When I see 'special ops', that is military, not civilian. All the Federal Law Enforcement agencies have teams of people that do 'special' things.

Read the bill they said, read the bill but how are ya supposed to read the bill when it takes 3 days and 3 lawyers to tell you what it all means?
