1. The police officer apparently used a method of restraint which was authorized by his department.
2. What Floyd did before his arrest very much so will explain why such a harsh form of restraint was used.
What part of handcuffed and unconscious do you not understand? You are seriously arguing a 3 minute beating of a citizen in that state by a government agent is justified? Have you lost your mind?
Outrage is no argument.
What do you “really” know about this situation?
I myself know very little and if you personally were there and saw it all from beginning to end, if you’re unbiased and willing to give a factual account of the events here for us all to learn, I would love to hear it.
All we know are small little bits of information that are edited, editorialized, and timed in their release.
There is no doubt that the US has a serious law enforcement issue. However, do not let previous events and the prevailing Zeitgeist (mood of the times) define how you see and act to this situation. Do not unload all the animosities of the past on this officer that also deserves to be treated fairly.
We know
He was carrying drugs.
He was high on drugs and acting in a belligerent and dangerous manner.
He had COVID.
He was actively resisting arrest over a prolonged period and had to be restrained.
He was yelling he couldn’t breathe long before they restrained him.
They immediately called for an ambulance and waited for the ambulance to arrive.
The restraint did not cause his death, i.e., no pressure was being put on the neck.
This whole thing is BS.
