Before the PowerPC they used 68000. Not sure of what to make of the ARM processor. I was thinking Apple was going to make their own custom processor.

I would see how the ARM preforms against the Intel Macbooks. Linux runs very well on the Rasberry Pi.

Before the 68000’s, Apple used MOS 6502 CPU’s.

Apple is designing its own custom processors, which are fabricated by TSMC. This is just bad reporting. Apple has always been part of the ARM consortium, and the Apple A-series processors are based on the ARM architecture.
