actually, both the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and World Health Organization (WHO) current recommendations are: 1) if you like grapefruit, then they are considered harmful and you should avoid them at all cost. 2) if you hate grapefruit, it is strongly recommended that you add them to your daily diet, starting immediately. 3) But the FDA is very confused about whether to mandate it in schools and nursing homes or fine grocery stores, restaurants, and grapefruit consumers.

A spokeswoman for the agency said that meetings are ongoing with the top 3 major citrus providers to determine the bribes or research funding that may be available before any announcement.
