NASCAR utilized much of its pre-race show at Atlanta Motor Speedway to address the recent social unrest and the issue of systemic racism in the United States.
NASCAR Hall of Famer and FOX commentator Jeff Gordon opened the broadcast with his own statement, saying: "We are listening. We are learning. We are ready for change."
Bubba Wallace, the only African-American driver in the Cup Series, was wearing a shirt on pit road that read 'Black lives matter' and "I can't breathe," referencing George Floyd's plea to officers in his final moments.

Hopefully, by April 2021, this bullshite will have calmed down, and Joe Biden will be back in his padded room.
Be that as it may, I hope you don't hold out any hope that MLB, like NFL, NBA, and every other "major" sport out there won't be "taking a knee" to the Antifa mob and its current minions in the BLM.
If they came out here they could walk down my street all day and nobody would care.
If I tried to walk down Lake street I would be lucky to make it to the end.
Who should change?
The Jesse Jackson shakedown for AA drivers obviously didn’t work twenty years ago.
Maybe all those midnight basketball leagues scarfed up all the talent that otherwise would have had NASCAR potential?
I am pretty sure that all professional sports teams will be woke. Then broke. What a shame.
Guess that means less time watching sports and more time on the range.
You don’t see how this works. The very fact that you THINK you have nothing to apologize for means you must apologize for thinking that.
They need to rally against injustice for all people.
I think NASCAR fans are smart enough to figure out this is a public relations concession to the bullies. Doesn’t make it right, and doesn’t mean the people who give in are weak, it’s just the practical way to get by in a high profile profession.
I never got it to be honest
So bye
FU NASCAR!!!
Sincerely,
Most of Your Fans
“Not all lives matter”...
But youre inadvertently virtue signaling in spite of yourself
You see how insidious it is
I dont
Ive Been here twenty years
Im a devoted southerner and make zero apologies
Ask any racially sensitive person here if i virtue signal over race
No I dont
Anybody can do it...you have to just quit caring what folks say about you
Im not picking on you Im just pointing out how easily everyone does it except those rare few like me and pelham
There is a ton of racial injustice in America. Like how the D party exploits black Americans like on the plantation. And how the government and done complicit universities put Unqualified blacks into seats ( and faculty) instead of very well- qualified Asians and Whites. Plus almost every government job is offered to a black person before anybody else has a chance.
Whatever the hell that means.I know it means something, but don’t know what. Nor care.
“Thou shall not steal.”
Hard work, property rights, private property.
I have decided that it is no longer virtue signaling, it IS taking the mark of the beast or, at the very least, ignorantly welcoming the spirit of the Antichrist.
The near future 666 on these people will be so easily given. “PLEASE, please, please can we have the mark.”
EXTORTION,hush money, racketeering its all the same
Manchurian attempt takeover of property.
In recent years, I’ve noticed a lot of empty seats at NASCAR races, something you didn’t see 10-15 years ago. I attribute this to two things: (1) NASCAR’s increasing kowtowing to leftist sensibilities; and (2) a general drop-off of interest in racing among the young. Auto racing is now perceived by many of the young as something that is archaically anti-environmental in a symbolic way.
