Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Friday ordered National Guard troops in Washington, DC, to disarm and wear soft caps instead of helmets, an official told Breitbart News on Friday afternoon.
The official said the president told Attorney General Bill Barr that he wanted the National Guard to be armed so that they could protect themselves from rioters and looters coming in to the city, but Esper on his own told the D.C. National Guard leadership to take the weapons of National Guardsmen who were coming in from other states.
“He’s not really on board with what the president is trying to do,” the official said.
The official said Esper also on his own directed the National Guard in D.C. to wear soft caps instead of helmets. Breitbart News queried the Pentagon chief spokesman Jonathan Hoffman on Friday afternoon, but he did not respond by deadline.
Photos on social media showed National Guardsmen in D.C. wearing soft caps:

The National Guard said in response to a query, “Guardsmen supporting the civil disturbance are unarmed.”
The move comes a day before there are expected to be hundreds of thousands of protesters taking part in demonstrations in Washington, DC, on Saturday.
Protests in recent days have been largely peaceful, but the president had fully-activated the National Guard in D.C. and requested help from other states after several days of looting, defacing national monuments, and the burnin of a historic church just one block away from the White House. Dozens of Secret Service agents were also injured. Violence was also engulfing other major cities across the nation.

So, you approve of Esper putting the National Guard and White House at risk? Screw you! No, I don't approve of it. But I don't call for him to be shot on a site that I do not own. And nor should you.

Combined with the mutiny and insubordination at the Pentagon, IF THIS IS TRUE...
Man, talk about “dog-whistling” to the anti-American left-wing DNC rent-a-revolutionaries, to attack and overthrow the U.S.
What is already being exposed at the Pentagon, cannot help but invite China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, etc... to really consider various regional expansion, even without Esper stabbing America in the back, and embracing America and liberty ending policy.

If a single guardsman gets a head injury, that SecDef should be left out on the street without shoes, wallet or car keys.

Either mobilize the National Guard properly armed and equipped, or don’t do it at all. We’re tired of seeing factions stinking on the National Guard before sending its soldiers to die overseas for prideful cowards and their wayward mothers.

He should be shot for treason and then fired.

Plenty of bricks, concrete blocks, locks in socks, and frozen water bottles in the hands of the enemy.

Esper is daring Trump to fire him. Which means he is completely in on the coup now. Esper positioning himself to be the compassionate leader that takes over until the election. Pentagon generals have a plan to remove Trump and Pence, and it' not one they came up with in the last two days.

This is insanity. Idiots on the streets have been throwing all sorts of things at these men.Don't worry he'll be right with them...leading from the rear.

I wonder how you would deal with all the exigencies of being the President - especially under all the pressures that this one has endured.
Judging from your posts, you don’t seem to be a great fan of President Trump. Who would you rather see as President?

Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Friday ordered National Guard troops in Washington, DC, to disarm,.. wear soft caps instead of helmets, drop trou, don crotchless underwear, lay on their backs with boots in the air, and smile at the arrival of the Huns and Visigoths.
The President should override this evil communist and put guns back in the hands of our Nation's defenders.

ESPER should wear a soft hat-—for a soft head. He is trying to set up the troops for injury by the mindless idiots “protesting” (LOOTING).

Who would you rather see as President?
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
She's too young but Candace Owens would be nice. Her speech on twitter about George Floyd (and of course many other things) was rock solid, and unlike anyone to date, very courageous. She knows and loudly states that the biggest problem in black society is the fact that fathers are not around. That will always be the biggest problem. Maybe Trump couldn't come out and say that but he could find a surrogate who could. Trump's words tell me everything I want to hear about what should happen in this country. And then somehow it just doesn't happen. An attempt to overthrow the government and no one will be going to jail. Don't you just throw your hands up at that? Seems one would have to be trying to avoid finding an Attorney General to prosecute all the scum in Washington. Yet Trump has done it. Twice. As far as how I would deal with the exigencies of the job, I know that I wouldn't say things and then not do them. I see that a lot from Trump. And I wouldn't revel in the bickering with the scum media as I think it turns off many voters. And I would hire better speech writers and an excellent speech coach because when Trump gives canned speech's they just don't lift me up. His rallies are great when he knows his fans are there. But he needs to be winning over the undecided voters and the constant verbal warfare that Trump seems to revel in just gets tiresome. All just my opinions and I hope I'm dreadfully wrong and Trump wins in a landslide. But just the fact that Biden is anywhere near a possible win tells me that mistakes are being made.
